Angela “Ang” Parchetta – Singer-Songwriter, Raleigh, NC
Ang (pronounced anj) is a Raleigh, North Carolina-based electro-pop musician originally from upstate New York. Her journey with music began as a wide-eyed 4-year-old and carried on through her middle and high school days. Wanting to foster that love of music in future generations, Ang. graduated from Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA) with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, moved south and set out to build a promising career as a chorus director. At her core, however, Ang.’s passion is songwriting, finding catharsis in the musical scrapbook she creates to sort, understand, and document her life. Her first singles, “Cursed by Me” and “Through with You” led to her first EP, “Not Another Love Story,” which debuted in 2018. With inspirations echoing Carly Rae Jepsen, Taylor Swift and Halsey, her songs are anthems of the trials and tribulations of lost love and the strength and clarity to move forward.
Her first full length album entitled "Hindsight" was released in late March 2020. The latest single from the album, Wildflowers, has gained significant attention since being release on January 25th 2020.
Ang performs her original work and covers live throughout the Raleigh area at venues such as The Flying Biscuit, Imurj and Wine 101 and has been featured on That Station 95.7 FM. For more information, visit https://musicbyang.com/
